ADHD Parent Group Coaching
As a mom with ADHD parenting ADHD children, much of the growth I've personally experienced during my Life Coach training has been found in hearing the stories of so many people living in similar circumstances. When you see your own ADHD struggles reflected in people who are also brilliant, talented, and capable, the weight of those struggles begins to lighten.
I recently had the privilege of coaching an ADHD parenting group where knowledge was gained, stories were shared, feelings of isolation and shame were torn down, and a community was built.
Parenting when you or your kiddo (or both) have ADHD tendencies is no easy task. What seems to work for other families often doesn’t work for you or your kid. This is a group for parents of boundary pushers, daydreamers, busy hands, bouncing knees, huge imaginations, big emotions, specific genius, and creativity.
There’s room for you here. This is a place you can learn about the different ways ADHD can affect your family, and connect with other parents in the same boat. You don’t need to have a diagnosis to join.
Things we’ll focus on:
~what ADHD is, and the strengths that can come with it
~how to connect with your child
~how to manage all the big emotions (theirs and yours)
~how to advocate for your child
~what to do when all the well-intentioned parenting advice falls short,
~guided discussion on issues specific to your family
~ and other topics chosen by the group.
Parents have come away from the first group offered saying things like this:
"Anyone with ADHD children, this group is a must! Jenny is so knowledgeable, sweet, and funny! We have enjoyed every moment of this group. We’ve learned so much, and how to best support our daughter! I can’t recommend this enough."
— Riley L.
"This class has been such a huge help in learning about ADHD for someone that has tendencies as a parent and sees them in her kids. The class was not only informative about ADHD but it was also a huge group of supporters as a parent to feel like we are not alone and we can be better informed to make decisions for our kids. It was great because it was more of a collaborative environment where we could share our thoughts and experiences and not feel like they were judged by Jenny or others. She didn’t claim to be an expert but was a wealth of info I had never heard of online or in books I have read”
— Brittney B.
